Qualifying for the EB-1 Visa
The EB-1 visa is divided into three subcategories. To qualify for the EB-1 visa, you must meet the criteria for the EB-1 visa subcategory that best applies to your situation.
The first subcategory is EB-1A, which applies to individuals with a bachelor's degree or equivalent who are coming to the United States to work in a position that requires an advanced degree.
The second subcategory is EB-1B, which applies to individuals with a bachelor's degree or equivalent who are coming to the United States to work in a position that requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and that requires an exceptional ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics, or extraordinary achievement in the motion picture or television industry.
The third subcategory is EB-1C, which applies to individuals with a bachelor's degree or equivalent who are coming to the United States to work in a position that requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent and that is a manager or executive position.
To qualify for the EB-1 visa, you must be able to demonstrate that you meet the requirements of the subcategory that applies to your situation.
